How do I make a reservation at Whidden RV & Mobile Home Park?
You can reserve your site through our online reservation system or by calling us directly at 863-635-4302.
We recommend booking in advance, especially for winter season stays from October through April — we fill up fast and for good reason.
How much does it cost to stay at Whidden RV & Mobile Home Park??
Rates vary depending on the time of year and length of stay. We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Monthly rates offer the best value for snowbirds and extended winter stays. Visit our Rate Page for More info or contact us
Is Whidden RV & Mobile Home Park an adults-only or 55+ community?
While Whidden is primarily a 55+ community, meaning at least one resident or registered guest per site must be 55 or older.
Families and Younger guests, including children, are welcome to visit and stay for up to two weeks at a time. We love when the grandkids come to visit — and with LEGOLAND just 30 Minutes away in Winter Haven, they’ll have plenty to keep them busy.
Do you require a deposit to hold a reservation?
Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We’ll walk you through the details when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us directly for our current cancellation policy. We understand that travel plans change and will do our best to work with you.
Do you offer discounts for extended stays or seasonal residents?
Yes. Monthly rates are significantly more economical than nightly or weekly rates. If you’re planning a long winter stay, ask us about our seasonal options when you call.
What hookups are available at Whidden RV & Mobile Home Park?
Our RV sites include full hookups — water, sewer, and electric service. We offer both 30-amp and 50-amp electric connections to accommodate a wide range of RVs.
Do you have pull-through sites?
Whidden's original sites are mostly Back-in. We now have a dedicated RV Park that offers both Back-in and Pull through sites.
Where is Whidden RV & Mobile Home Park located?
Whidden is in Frostproof, a quiet slice of Central Florida living, with easy access to Sebring and Avon Park, and just a short drive from Orlando. You're close to US Highway 27, Sebring International Raceway, Lake Wales Ridge State Forest, and some of the best bass fishing guides around. Tucked away from the busier tourist corridors, you'll find peaceful, small-town surroundings, sunny skies, and mild temperatures — with all the conveniences and attractions of Central Florida still close at hand.

What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 10am Eastern
Check-out is 1pm. We’ll confirm exact times when you make your reservation.
Are pets allowed at Whidden Mobile Home Park?
We Love Pets! Well-behaved pets are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times when outside your unit, and they may not be left unattended outdoors. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Certain dog breeds may be restricted — Click Here for Breed list
Is there a pet fee?
Please ask about our current pet policy and any applicable fees when you make your reservation.
Can my grandchildren stay with me for an extended visit?
Absolutely. Children are welcome to stay with you for up to two weeks.
Are guests allowed to visit residents?
Yes. Guests are welcome to visit. All visitors must check in at the office, and we ask that visitor vehicles be off the property during quiet hours.
Do you allow open fires or fire pits?
Campfires are permitted only if in an elevated fire pit at least 6in. off ground. Fires may not be left unattended at any time.
Check with the office for fire pit approval and current local Fire Restrictions.
Park Fees
Lot fees as well as cable and propane bills are due on the first of each month. If not paid by the 10th of each month a $50.00 late fee will be added to your bill. Electric is also due on the first of each month and is always a month behind and read on the 15th of every month.

Is Whidden Mobile Home Park a good base for exploring Central Florida?
Yes — Whidden makes a solid base. It's a lakefront, 55+ community in Frostproof, roughly 40 miles south of Orlando and within easy reach of Orlando, state parks, guided bass fishing, and Sebring Raceway. You get onsite fishing, pools, and clubhouses for quiet days, plus quick day-trip access to Central Florida's attractions, lakes, and small-town charm.
How far is Whidden Mobile Home Park from major Florida attractions?
Whidden's Frostproof location puts you close to Central Florida's top attractions: Bok Tower Gardens is about 16 miles away, Legoland Florida and its water park about 23 miles, Walt Disney World roughly 49 miles, SeaWorld about 54 miles, Universal Studios about 58 miles, and Orlando International Airport about 66 miles. Sebring International Raceway is also a quick 25-30 mile drive south — making Whidden a convenient home base for day trips throughout the region.

Is there a clubhouse or community space?
We’re proud to have a welcoming, social atmosphere at Whidden MHP and RV Park. There is two clubhouses, one with a shared Kitchen and and both have community space. We Host weekly activities. see our activities Page for more information
